Chapter 3 - Huts on the beach
"Shelter comes first"
Perspective: Ralph
It is important to have shelter for many different reasons, one to give the little ones something to sleep in. Two because it gets really cold at night, and we could all freeze to death. Three, because the beastie may attack, if we don't have propper protection, the shelter at least will make us feel safe. Lastly, because if it were to rain we would not be able to get out of it, plus we would get cold. There are many different jobs on the island as well, such as hunting, signal fire and look out, and shelter making. Many of the kids in shelter making don't help, as well as look out. Jack told all of his workers, the hunters to stop hunting which makes me mad. The most important task right now is to make shelters, or will all catch a cold, and we won't be able to sleep at night. Simon, who was the only one who stayed to work with me is loyal, hardworking, industrious, and responsable. Not only did he work with me, he worked as hard as he could, and used all of his effort. If everything stays the same on the island, we will be full with chaos, our rules are constantly being broken, and Jack never follows his own rules, and hasn't caught anything for them to eat yet. I don't get along with jack because he doesn't want to be rescued and won't help us get rescued, also he doesn't work very hard.
