Chapter 4 - painted faces and long hair
"Kill the pig, cut her thought, spill the blood!"

For starters, being responsible, at home in England sure I was responsible, but on the island responsible has a different meaning. At home we do our chores, our homework, and take care of siblings, but on the island there's no adults to tell you what to do, and when to do it, it's just you. Plus I am the leader of the hunters and the signal fire group, I have a lot of responsiblity on the island, way more than in England at least. The littluns are annoying, needy, and slack of on their jobs. Their annoying, because their little kids, and their all annoying. They are needy because the always want, or need something, like fruit when they can't reach it, and it seems like, everything on the island. They are really not good workers at all, they are always playing, eating and even sleeping when were hunting, and it seems like the same for the ones working for Ralph. Overall i really don't care for the little ones. We painted our faces when we went hunting to camaflouge, or blend in so that we could sneak up on a pig. This foreshadows some people on the island becoming evil. When my face was painted I felt like a whole new person, someone who could actually kill a pig, finally, and in general do more daring things. The ship that came didn't see us because we, the choir, forgot to light the signal, but we were doing something more important, like hunting pigs, we needed meat. The fire went out specifically because were hunting, for pig. My desire to kill a pig came from the first day on the island when I couldn't kill a pig, I wasn't emotianally ready yet, but I needed to do it, I needed to kill one.
